Drift Tires and Car Lift Pack
Two scripts in one package: a hands-on drift tire system and the kq_carlift script it integrates with.
Drift Tires
Turn pretty much any car in your city into a drift monster (as long as it's not FWD, you may need some fast food trays for that).
Your mechanics will no longer change a few values through 2d menus. Swapping onto drift tires is a physical process with several mini-games, including a wheel balancing stage on a custom made wheel balancer machine. A built-in 3d shop sells the items you need, like the car jack and the different tire types. Once the tires are on, drive up to any air compressor (most gas stations and workshops already have one) and air in or air out to raise or lower traction and fine tune the handling.
No handling.meta modification
The drift physics come from in-game scripting functions and math, not from edits to the vehicle's handling.meta. That keeps it compatible with pretty much any other script that touches vehicle handling or performance. It also means drift tires do not make cars faster than normal tires, unlike most drift scripts.
Main features
- Equip drift tires to any car, including modded vehicles
- Cars are no faster on drift tires than on normal tires
- Wheel changing process with several mini-games
- Wheel balancing mini-game on a custom made wheel balancer machine
- Drift tires and tire pressure saved in the database
- Tire pressure adjustment at air compressors for finer traction control
- Whitelist or blacklist vehicle classes from being swapped (Emergency etc.)
- Everything synced between players
- Very light on the server, state bags handle almost everything
- Built-in 3d shop system
- kq_carlift integration (included in this pack)
- API file with functions that fire whenever something happens
- Highly customizable through config and exposed functions
- Works with ESX and QBCore, or standalone using commands instead of items
- Update 1.1.0: optional qtarget and qb-target support
Script performance
Measured on an RX5700xt, R5 3600x, 32gb@3600:
- 0.00 to 0.01 ms when not interacting with the script
- 0.01 to 0.03 ms while driving a vehicle with drift tires
- 0.03 to 0.14 ms while changing tires or balancing (the 3d text takes most of this)
Car Lift
Simple car lifts for lifting cars, made for mechanic roleplay or for use inside other scripts.
- Good looking lift with smooth animations
- Add as many lifts as you want
- Vehicles remain physical while on the lift
- Restrict individual lifts to specific jobs (ESX and QBCore only)
- qtarget and qb-target compatible, not required
- Runs at 0.00 ms, around 0.04 ms while the lift is moving
- Highly configurable
Compatibility
- Standalone
- ESX
- QBCore
- QBox
- VRP
Both scripts work on all servers, including ESX, QBCore, QBox, VRP and servers running no framework at all.
