Item Trader for Players

A player driven bazaar that works like the market systems in MMO RPGs. Listings live on the server, not the player, so an ad stays up and can sell while its owner is offline. Trades run through the market itself, which makes item duping impossible.

Buying

You can place market regions in as many spots on the map as you want, with access handled however you configure it: target, key press, or command. Inside the menu, items are split across 5 categories by default. Players browse the ads other players have posted, search an item by typing its name, and sort listings by price in ascending or descending order from the profile buttons.

Buying works on a cart. Click an item once to add it, add as many items as you like, then set the amount with the plus and minus buttons or type a number directly, as long as the listing has stock. Hit Buy and the money lands in the seller's account immediately, ready to withdraw whenever they log in.

Selling

The Post an ad button opens the sales tab. Type the first letters of an item, press enter to pick it, then set the quantity, unit price, ad description, and shelf time. Shelf time runs on a real time clock: once it expires the item comes off sale and other players can no longer see it. From the active ads section of your profile you can refresh the listing to put it back up, or delete it and take the item back.

Sales go through even while you are offline. Log into your profile to withdraw your earnings whenever you want, edit any active listing, and check your market statistics.
