Free Bodyguard Script for FiveM by Electus
Some servers never have enough cops online. Others never have enough criminals. This free script from Electus fills the gap with hireable AI bodyguards, so a lone player always has muscle behind them and the playing field stays even.
One script, three roles
There are three bodyguard types, each sold from its own shop.
- Regular bodyguards for anyone who wants personal protection.
- Gang muscle, which you can also recruit straight off the street instead of buying from a shop. The price depends on the recruit and the weapon they carry.
- Police reinforcements. An on duty officer types /backup and AI police come flying in.
Every type can be locked behind a job, so /backup stays a police tool and gang recruiting stays with gangs. Each individual bodyguard is rated on shooting, driving and armor, so no two hires are equally useful in every situation.
How a contract works
You rent a bodyguard for a length of time you pick, and the price follows the duration. The ped stays with you until the timer runs out or you end the deal yourself. From the shop menu you can:
- Terminate the contract, which deletes the bodyguard for good.
- Claim insurance if your bodyguard died, spawning a replacement (shop only).
- Put a bodyguard on leave and reinstate them later when you want them active again.
Weapons work either way: give bodyguards your own weapon models through the config, or let players buy a weapon together with the ped, with the total cost reflecting both.
Commanding your crew
Walk up to a single bodyguard and press G (or use your target system) to tell them to stay, follow or go on leave. To move everyone at once, use /bodyguard_stay and /bodyguard_follow. Bodyguards defend you from attackers, hop into vehicles with you, and the built in vehicle menu lets you swap seats so one of them chauffeurs you to a waypoint or just drives around.
Configuration
Ped models, weapon models, every price, price deductions, speed metrics, maximum slots and the currency are all configurable. There is no hard cap on how many bodyguards can exist at once, though running huge numbers is not recommended for obvious reasons. The UI is clean, and you can switch its theme in the settings.
Performance and requirements
Resmon sits at 0.00ms idle. With bodyguards out and under a heavy task it tops out around 0.06 to 0.08ms. You need ESX or QB-Core plus ox_lib, and a target system is recommended for the best performance. Free support is included.
